John Pope had a habit of ending his orders with the phrase Headquarters in the Saddle. Robert E Lee, upon learning this, said, "His headquarters were where his hindquarters should be."

Our last day of the 6th grade at NW Elementary our whole class biked to Boot Hill. They used to have a bunch of those machines like Clean Clara in the back of the Long Branch. I know because a bunch of us 12 year old boys found them. Thanks for the memories and for the new stuff I haven't seen.

I love the fridge because the shelves spin and pull out. 10:35 The wooden play pen I remember growing up with one. My mom would put plywood over the top to keep my sibilings in when they learned to climb out 😅. I was born in the 80s so far from the house of the 50s house of tommorow.

Lived in the area for 20 years and have driven past this hundreds of times. Hiked the trails that overlook the Missouri River less then a mile down the road. Knew it was nuclear waste, but had no idea about the TNT, DNT plant during WW2. Will absolutely be stopping there sometime in the near future. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thank your for this history lesson in this video. I know the history of what took place in these horrible camps, however I have not seen in real time. Shoa is terrible not only for the Jewish people, but for those of other nationalities. Nazisme is terrible, and to treat people in this way is inhumane. 🙏🙏Rest in peace.

Gary is the best. I was watching an old History channel program the other day on the Civil War and a very young Gary Adelman showed up on my screen wearing a shirt that looked like he managed a restaurant, and now I know that he was actually the real deal. I can't wait to take a trip up to Gettysburg and see where my forefathers of the Alabama and Mississippi regiments fought, and hope I am lucky enough to have a guide that is good as Gary.

Really good video, thanks for sharing. I have a couple of question, was how deep is the storage site and what’s its life expectancy as does rain water ingress? So far we’ve discovered the science to produce the materials needed but not what to do with the by product. All we can do is store until someone science a better idea then it’s the next generations problem
